1. Personal Information
In general, you can use and visit our Website without submitting any personal information; however, in order to utilize and access specific features, you will be asked to submit your personal information. Personal information may include, but is not limited to, your full name, email, physical address, phone number, and gender.
We collect and store personal information that you provide to our Website or our customer service department. We may use your collected personal information for various purposes, including, but not limited to processing and tracking your order; providing the services you request; contacting you about the status of an order; sending you catalogs or promotional offers we believe may be of interest to you; identifying your product and service preferences; customizing our communications to you; customer service related requests; and providing information concerning products you have purchased. For example, when you open an account or place an order, we may collect and store some or all of the following information that you provide: your full name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, and credit card number and expiration date. We may use this information to register your account, to process your payments, and to send you periodic updates or promotional or marketing materials by mail or email.
2. Non-Personal Information
We may also collect certain non-personal information about your use of our Website that does not identify you as a specific individual by itself or in combination with other information.
The non-personal information that we collect may include, but is not limited to, the URL of the website you came from or are going to during your visit; browsing or shopping path on our Website; non-personally identifiable purchase information; and IP address and certain other non-personal information relayed by your Internet browser during your visit, such as the type of browser you used and the device you used to browse our Website. This information is used to analyze and improve our Website, provide our customers with a fulfilling shopping experience, and personalize the Website, our communications with you, and your overall experience.
II. Information We Share
We may disclose to our suppliers, contractors who process your personal information to provide services to us or you including, without limitation, payment and order processing; market research; fraud protection; data analysis; email management; customer service; and stocking and shipping services. In some instances, these contractors may have access to personal information, but they are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality of the information and to use it only for purposes of carrying out the business of MES.
We may disclose to any law enforcement agency, court, regulator, government authority or other third party where we believe this is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, in order to enforce our Terms and Conditions, or otherwise to protect our rights/property or the rights/property of any third party. This includes sharing certain information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction, if needed.
We may disclose to a third party when you otherwise consent or direct us to share your information with third parties.
We may share non-personal or aggregate information (information that does not directly identify an individual) with third parties for lawful purposes.
We may utilize cookies to store and retrieve non-personally identifiable information; serve promotions to you; recognize browsers and associated browsing activities; store which parts of the Website have been visited or keep track of selections, such as those selected in a shopping cart; measure the effectiveness of our advertising; and determine what advertising content to display to you.
We may also allow advertisers, advertising networks, and behavioral targeting companies to collect non-personally identifiable usage information that may track your use of our Website, track the number of ads displayed, measure ad performance, and display ads targeted specifically to you. You can manage the use of such information by clicking here.
IV. How We Protect Your Information
MES cares about the security and confidentiality of your information. We maintain commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect the security of the information you submit to us. However, no website is completely secure or “hacker proof.” You are also responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure or misuse.
V. Privacy of Children
By using our Website, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. It is our policy not to knowingly collect personal information from any person under the age of 13, and we request that children under the age of 13 not submit any personal information to us through the Website. If we learn that we have inadvertently gathered personal information from children under 13, we will promptly remove such information from our records.
VI. California Privacy Rights
California law permits California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. At this time, we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes so this requirement does not apply to us.
In addition, under California law, website operators are required to disclose how they respond to web browser “do not track” signals or other similar mechanisms that provide consumers with the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information of a consumer over time and across third party websites and apps, to the extent the operator engages in that collection. We may track our customers’ personally identifiable information over time and across third-party websites and apps. We do not respond to web browser “do not track” signals. This law also requires website operators to disclose whether third parties may collect personally identifiable information about their users’ online activities over time and across different websites and apps when the users use the operator’s website or app. We do not knowingly permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across different websites when a consumer uses our Website.
